The American Board of Radiology (ABR) is an independent, not-for-profit organization and is one of 24 national medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties. We were founded in 1934 to protect the public by assessing and certifying doctors who meet specific educational, training, and professional requirements.


The ABR is seeking a positive, professional, and detail oriented Certification Advisor to join its team. The Certification Advisor is part of a team responsible for creating and maintaining positive relationships with Candidates, Diplomates, Program Directors and Program Coordinators while assisting them through the certification and maintenance of certification process. This position is located in Tucson, AZ and is eligible to work a hybrid remote/in-office schedule.

JOB DUTIES include but are not limited to:

  • Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external parties.
  • Participates in proactive measures to create and maintain positive relationships with all Candidates, Diplomates, Program Directors and Program Coordinators.
  • Responds to all incoming calls, faxes, and emails accurately, timely, and thoroughly and records all contact in CRM.
  • Participates in outreach campaigns.
  • Ensures that all processes and necessary steps are transparent, clear, and understood by each contact.
  • Conducts various administrative tasks such as processing applications, generating letters, reviewing documents for accuracy, etc.
  • Professionally represents the ABR and provides in person customer support at society meetings and during exams.
  • Occasional travel required for society meetings.
  • Participates in Exam Day Help Desk on exam days by providing technical assistance and customer service. Exam days require occasional early morning and weekend work.

Requirements

  • Associate degree and/or equivalent experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to provide genuine assistance to people.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Detail oriented and comfortable with new technology.
  • Professional appearance and interpersonal skills.
  • Mandatory ability to provide outstanding and consistent customer service skills.
  • Ability to be both consistent and flexible.
  • Ability to successfully function in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
  • Prior account management experience a plus.
