Job description

In this role you will provide full-spectrum Acquisition Logistics Support to the Helicopter Division within the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio.

In this roll, you will assist in managing and organizing resources and personnel needed to efficiently and effectively meet the objectives of each task, as well as exploring new approaches as applicable within the performance of these tasks.

Essential Job Functions:

You will collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions; provide technical expertise, recommendations, and advisory assistance to the Government in the day-to-day management of the 12 product support/integrated logistics support (ILS) elements:  Sustaining/Systems Engineering; Design Interface; Supply Support; Maintenance Planning and Management; Support Equipment/Automatic Test Systems; Facilities; Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation; Technical Data Management/ Technical Orders; Manpower and Personnel; Training; Computer Resources; and Protection of Critical Program Information (CPI) and Anti-Tamper Provisions. You will draft documentation support by identifying product support concerns, risks, and issues; providing recommended courses of action, routinely reviewing, and monitoring all product support elements; and performing analyses to ensure program supportability.

You will provide acquisition logistics support by preparing for and participating in program reviews, meetings and/or working groups, as requested by the Government. You will assist by gathering and compiling information to support briefings/working group meetings, preparing briefing charts, assisting in finalizing meeting minutes, and tracking action item resolution.

You will assist by preparing and coordinating correspondence and reports.

You will provide acquisition logistics support by assisting in the preparation of budget estimates and evaluation of cost, schedules, performance, and program risks.

You will assist the Government by providing advisory support for the evaluation of change proposals, draft directives, military specifications, and standards for logistics program impacts resulting from each proposed change.

You will provide advisory assistance to the Government for assembling Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)/Supplier CPARS inputs. You will provide advisory assistance and draft documentation support for efforts to include, but not limited to, briefings, letters, and planning/coordination support for meetings.

You will provide advisory assistance and draft documentation support by conducting research and performing analysis necessary to assist in determining the ability of hardware/software designs to meet rotary wing system reliability, maintainability, availability, deployability, sustainability, survivability, standardization, and interoperability requirements.

You will assist with monitoring the operation and maintenance of the fielded rotary wing system and assessing if it meets reliability, maintainability, and availability metrics.

You will assist in monitoring all maintenance planning activities related to field support.

You will assist in monitoring OEM/Supplier Interim Contractor Support (ICS) planning for the weapon system until it becomes organically, or contractor supported.

You will provide advisory assistance by performing warranty technical and management support.

You will provide advisory assistance and draft documentation support by monitoring/tracking supply support requirements and providing recommendations designed to ensure the required supplies to establish an organic rotary wing capability are properly procured, stock listed and available to meet reliability, availability, maintainability, supportability, and deployability requirements.

You will provide advisory assistance by ensuring Item Unique Identification (IUID) requirements are included in all applicable acquisition documentation.

You will provide advisory assistance and draft documentation support in the development of the maintenance concept and requirements for the life cycle for all levels of maintenance.

You will provide advisory assistance and draft documentation supporting the preparation of plans necessary to activate bases receiving new rotary wing aircraft and equipment.

You will provide recommendations and advisory assistance to the Government in the Depot Maintenance Activation Planning (DMAP) process, source of repair analysis decisions, and depot maintenance inter-servicing decisions.

You will review and assess the Support Equipment/Automatic Test Systems (SE/ATS) programs and make recommendations to the Government to ensure proper SE/ATS is available by the established need date. Additionally, You will review, evaluate, process, and track Support Equipment Recommendation Data (SERDs).

You will assess rotary wing facility requirements to provide recommendations to ensure adequacy to operate and support the system, subsystem, or end- items.

You will assist in evaluating the packaging, handling, storage, and transportation requirements and provide recommendations to ensure proper processes and procedures are implemented.

You will assist with the acquisition and sustainment of rotary wing technical data required based on the product support strategy. This includes data rights, data management strategy, engineering data, drawings and associated documents, specifications, and scientific or technical information necessary to operate and/or maintain the weapon system.

You will assist by reviewing manpower and personnel planning/requirements to ensure they include adequate resources to operate and support the weapon system over its planned life cycle.

You will review and assess the rotary wing training and training equipment/system program, plans and schedules and make recommendations regarding potential improvements, issues, and risks.

You will assist by assessing and recommending the facilities, hardware, software, documentation, manpower and personnel needed to operate and support computer systems (stand-alone and embedded systems).

You will assist the Government in ensuring adequate planning is in place to protect sensitive information identified in the Program Protection Plan (PPP) during operations and sustainment.

You will provide strategic advice, technical guidance, expertise and support telecoms and meetings in the development of the acquisition strategy and RFP for OEMs, as well as Milestone C documentation.

You will review and analyze guidance to determine key milestones and deliverables required to comply with current acquisition regulations and law.

You will assist in identifying and developing program documentation to include but not be limited to the Life Cycle Sustainment Plan, Facility Requirements Plan, and Material Fielding Plan.  The results of analysis of statutory and regulatory guidance will drive the documentation required.

You will provide strategic advice, technical guidance, detailed analysis, support, and assistance with the development of OEM RFPs and affiliated documents and briefings.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Requires an active Secret security clearance.

Bachelor's degree plus 12 years of experience or a Master's Degree plus 10 years' experience, or High School diploma and 15 years of directly related experience is required, five years' experience must be in the DoD.

Product Support experience.
