Who You'll Work With:

The Product Manager will report to the Head of Business Development, Multi-Asset and Hedge Fund Solutions - Americas and will support the continued growth and expansion of AB's Systematic Solutions Platform (including Long-only and systematic hedge fund strategies), working closely with business development professionals and investment teams located in Nashville, New York, and London. This is a unique opportunity to help scale a growing systematic platform at an established global asset management firm.

What You'll Do:

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain deep, product-related knowledge for our Systematic Solutions Platform (long-only and systematic hedge Fund strategies), including investment process, portfolio positioning, performance, attribution, assets, portfolio management team members, and investment updates

  • Help shape the messaging and proposition around the overall systematic product platform
  • Prepare regularly scheduled (quarterly, monthly) client servicing materials
  • Prepare and update marketing presentations used for new business development, including customizing them as needed for finals presentations
  • Collaborate with the Global Product Management Team to define focus areas, business development initiatives, areas for training, and develop target lists, Consultant Relations and/or home-office strategies for select strategies
  • Research and fulfill ad hoc inquiries and requests from clients, Advisors, Associates or other client-facing professionals for portfolio attributes, market views, outlooks, and current investment strategy and positioning
  • Partner with Product Development on new products (or enhancement of existing products) for various regions/channels
  • Engage with clients, both internally and externally, as a subject matter expert to assist in asset raising
  • Analyze and reporting on the competitive positioning of our products
  • Continually create new sales ideas/ways to advocate product (e.g. Blog posts, thought leadership ideas)

Investor Reporting & Messaging

  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of monthly and quarterly investor communications

  • Work directly with Portfolio Managers to develop performance commentary and strategy updates

  • Translate complex investment information into clear, consistent investor messaging

  • Review and maintain pitch materials, DDQs, RFPs, and ad hoc investor requests

Internal Coordination & Platform Knowledge

  • Partner with Portfolio Managers, risk, operations, legal, and compliance teams to ensure accurate and compliant investor communications

  • Develop a strong understanding of the firm's platform structure, risk framework, and portfolio construction approach

  • Provide feedback to internal teams based on investor perspectives and market intelligence


This position will provide the opportunity for:

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (MBA or CFA preferred)

  • 7-10+ years of experience in asset management, hedge funds, or institutional client coverage within hedge funds or asset management

  • Broad investment-management, financial-market knowledge, and sales process knowledge

  • Strong understanding of systematic investing approaches, hedge fund structures, portfolio construction, private fund vehicles, and risk management

  • Strong verbal and writing skills. Creativity and a marketing "sense" is a distinct plus

  • Ability to thrive in a busy, deadline-driven work environment. Works well under pressure

  • Ability to multi-task and meet multiple strict deadlines simultaneously

  • Highly motivated self-starter; ability to work both independently as well as part of a team

  • An understanding of the global alternatives marketplace: understanding client needs, market trends and the competitive landscape

  • Ability to collaborate well with fellow Product Team members and other colleagues globally

In accordance with applicable law, the minimum and maximum base annual salary for this role is as follows:

Base Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000

Actual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base salary is just one component of total compensation at AB, which may include, depending on eligibility, commissions, year-end incentive compensation, short- and long-term incentives and Department-specific awards. In addition AB provides a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, sick and vacation time off.
