What are hedge funds?

Hedge funds are investment funds that pool capital from accredited individuals or institutional investors and use a variety of strategies to earn active returns for their investors. Hedge funds are typically less regulated than mutual funds and are only open to qualified investors, which allows them greater flexibility in their investment choices. These funds aim to reduce risk and maximize returns, though they can also involve higher fees and risks compared to traditional investment vehicles.
