Job Description

Job Title: Senior Associate, Hedge Fund Accounting

Location: Windsor, CT (hybrid)

About the Role

This role offers broad exposure to the full hedge fund and private equity fund lifecycle while working in a collaborative environment that values precision, accountability, and continuous improvement.

HowYou Will Make An Impact

  • Work closely with Private Equity & Hedge Fund clients to deliver accurate financial reporting, transaction processing, and day-to-day accounting support
  • Take ownership of daily fund accounting operations, including cash, position, and market value reconciliations
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive workpapers, including capital activity, investment transactions, income and expense accruals
  • Analyze transaction documentation to understand investment structures, accounting impacts, and accrual requirements
  • Interact with investment managers and prime brokers to resolve questions and reconciliation differences
  • Support the year-end audit process, partnering closely with internal teams, clients, and external auditors
  • Assist in the review of monthly and quarterly investor statements
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, with hands-on exposure to general ledgers, workpapers, and financial statement preparation

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and overall Microsoft Office suite
