Job Summary: The Registered Dietician at H-E-B is a licensed nutrition expert who provides advanced-level nutrition care, serves as a nutrition expert and wellness advocate, providing evidence-based guidance to patients. This role bridges the gap between healthcare and consumer behavior by promoting healthy food choices, conducting educational events, and supporting store initiatives that align strategic goals.
As an H-E-B Wellness Primary Care RD, you'll deliver first-class coaching to affect client health and wellness, educating and counseling on nutrition with a goal of changing behavior and lives.

We are looking for:
- a bachelor of science degree in nutrition, food science, or related field
What is the work?
Training / Coaching:
- Educates patients on health and nutrition; assists them in setting and reaching wellness goals
- Provides constructive, supportive feedback, answers questions, shares resources; proactively follows up to ensure engagement and motivation
- Conducts nutritional counseling in individual and group settings
- Assists health care team professionals on wellness-related projects, communications, etc.
- Assists in developing content / curriculum, educational materials, presentations, and brochures related to basic nutrition, weight management, and diabetes management
- May provide input to the development of company-wide health and nutrition initiatives
What is your background?
- Bachelor of science degree in nutrition, food science, or related field
- 1+ years of experience as a registered dietitian
- Experience working with electronic health records (preferred)
- Registered Dietitian with current Texas license
- NPI number
Do you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B WPC RD?
- Working knowledge of health, nutrition, fitness issues, lifestyle-related topics, health-related diseases, behavior change methods, and current wellness trends
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong written / verbal communication skills
- Ability to deliver quality, engaging educational materials
- Ability to develop professional relationships with staff, customers, referral sources, and vendors
