This is a 1099 (independent contractor) PRN positionย 

Locations:

- Houston (Clinic locations: Vintage Park, Champion Forest, Grand Pkwy, and Bunker Hill)

We are looking for:

Nurse Practitioner:

- a master's degree in advanced practice nursing from an accredited program; 3+ years of experience

- current, valid State of Texas RN & APRN licenses; current, unrestricted DEA

- advanced interpersonal and counseling skills; ability to work as part of an integrated healthcare team to provide an exceptional patient experience

Physician Assistant:

- a graduate degree from an accredited PA Program; 3+ years of experience

- Board Certification by the NCCPA; current, unrestricted license to practice in Texas

- current, unrestricted DEA

- advanced interpersonal and counseling skills; ability to work as part of an integrated healthcare team to provide an exceptional patient experience

What is the work?

Patient Care:

- Interviews patients; takes medical histories; assesses patient health; performs physical examinations; administers injections/ immunizations; performs suturing, splinting, casting; manages wounds and infections

- Instructs / counsels patients; explains treatments and medications; counsels / promotes emotional and physical health and wellness

- Obtains / studies medical histories; documents patient and clinic records

- Administers / orders diagnostic tests; interprets results; makes diagnoses; prescribes medications and other treatments

- Identifies short- / long-range patient care issues; recommends courses of action; implements physician directives

- Provides / ensures continuity of care; develops / implements patient care management plans

- Complies / ensures compliance with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements, and infection control protocols and policies

- Develops health care team staff; provides training and educational / growth opportunities

- Maintains professional / technical knowledge; reviews professional journals; establishes personal network; participates in educational workshops and professional associations

- Collaborates with clinic staff to recommend / improve patient care practices, and clinic guidelines and workflow

- Ensures adherence to HIPAA regulations

What is your background?

Nurse Practitioner

- Master's degree in advanced practice nursing from an accredited program

- 3+ years of health care experience

- Current valid RN License

- Current, unrestricted State of Texas APRN license

- Current, unrestricted DEA

- AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card

or

Physician Assistant

- Graduate degree from an accredited PA Program

- 3+ years of health care experience

- Board Certification by the NCCPA

- Current, unrestricted license to practice in Texas

- Current, unrestricted DEA

- Current BLS certification by an approved American Heart Association organization
