Job description

For over four decades, Proof of the Pudding has set the standard for culinary excellence and exceptional event experiences throughout Atlanta and beyond. As we expand into the greater Dallas area, we are bringing the same innovation, excellence, and passion for hospitality that has defined our brand. From weddings and holiday parties to corporate retreats and social gatherings, our catering team delivers unforgettable events with creative menus, seamless service, and elevated design expertise. 

This position is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to RS3 guests and hosts.

Basic office responsibilities

  • Always appear in proper uniform and look presentable when on the floor or at assigned area
  • Assist in the stocking of supplies in counter area, display refrigerators, salad bar, and steam table neatly, accurately, and in a timely manner
  • Inform kitchen staff in a timely manner when food quantities are low or special requests
  • Display food within appropriate temperatures as per standards
  • Maintain appropriate portion control and merchandising standards
  • Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
  • Clean tables, chairs, equipment and utensils
  • Keep counter and floor in work or service area clean and free of debris
  • Accurately explain daily menu items to customers
  • Follow department policies and procedures
  • Relay relevant comments received from customers directly to supervisor
  • Comply with sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and/or dining areas
  • Pick up food items from serving bar or storage area. 
  • Check orders to ensure that guests are receiving a complete and correct order 
  • Responsible for all financial transactions
  • Comply with all TABC laws
  • Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Communicate well and convey instructions written and verbal
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently and in a high-stress, fast paced environment
  • Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations 
  • Food Handler Certification

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and be mobile for periods of up to four (4) hours in length and have the ability to bend and lift up to 45 pounds frequently
  • Must be able to work in adverse environments
  • Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays

Work Environment  

The work environment for this position will be event operations and working out of the Football Stadium or similar venues. This position will often move throughout campus and stadium grounds on different terrains.

Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines. 

Physical Demands: 

  • Prolonged periods of being in one place, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue. 
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items. 
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 25 lbs.

Position Salary & Benefits: 

  • This is considered a part-time hourly position. Scheduled will fluctuate based on business needs. 
  • Free meal while working. 
  • This is mainly a concessions bar position. Tipping is optional for guests
