Work Location: In-person role based in Windham, NY.
Anticipated Start Date: Late August or Early September
Pay: Vehicle Mechanic: hourly role, $22-25/hour
This role is a full-time year-round position that is eligible for benefits.
Scheduling Expectations: Peak times include weekends, early mornings, and holidays. Weekend availability is required.

Job Responsibilities: The Vehicle Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing resort fleet equipment including light vehicles, heavy machinery, and snowcats to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on fleet and motorized equipment to maximize availability and lifespan
  • Accurately document all work performed, including parts used and maintenance records
  • Follow all safety procedures to protect yourself, others, equipment, and facilities
  • Maintain a clean, organized shop and work areas
  • Track parts usage and identify needed inventory to minimize downtime
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
Driving & Certifications
Must hold a valid driver's license and successfully pass both a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check in accordance with Windham Mountain Club's insurance policy guidelines.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with diesel and automotive mechanics
  • Knowledge of gasoline/diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and basic welding
  • Ability to diagnose and solve mechanical issues
  • Comfortable using power tools and equipment, including tractors
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable interacting with staff and guests
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks (stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl)
  • Ability to communicate effectively
