About the job
The Heavy Labor (Skilled) team supports production by moving raw materials, operating
equipment, supplying production lines, and preparing finished products for storage and shipment
while maintaining food safety and production standards.
We're looking for someone who
● Holds a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
● Has experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or food production environment
(preferred)
● Is able to safely lift and move heavy materials throughout the workday
● Has experience operating manual or electric pallet jacks (preferred)
● Is comfortable learning production equipment and operating procedures
● Demonstrates strong attention to detail and follows production schedules accurately
● Communicates effectively and works well with team members across multiple departments
● Is committed to food safety, GMP, machine safety, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
● Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, cold, and wet production environment
● Is willing to work overtime, nights, weekends, and seasonal schedules as needed
● Is willing to travel seasonally between San Juan Bautista, CA and Yuma, AZ
What you'll do
● Perform heavy labor tasks that support daily production operations
● Feed raw product into production and wash systems
● Operate manual or electric pallet jacks to move materials safely
● Supply production lines with boxes, packaging materials, and other production supplies
● Blend and move products according to production schedules and specifications
● Weigh, scan, and track materials throughout the production process
● Strap, wrap, and label finished pallets for storage and shipment
● Verify pallet tags and production documentation for accuracy
● Remove empty materials and maintain clean, organized work areas
● Monitor production equipment and report safety or mechanical issues
● Follow food safety, GMP, machine guarding, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
● Rotate between production assignments based on operational needs
