Job Details:
Mine Development - Bullitt County Stone - Rogers Group Inc - Shepherdsville, KY
Full-Time
Night Shift - approximate shift times of 3PM - 11PM. Monday - Friday, Some Saturdays as needed.
Wages starting at $30.00/hr. for entry level candidates. This includes a $26.00 per hour base and $4.00 shift differential. Overall compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and skillset.
Bullitt County Stone is developing a new underground limestone mine at our Shepherdsville, KY location and is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Bullitt County Stone is an underground limestone mine/quarry.
This role requires previous experience as a mechanic working on heavy equipment. The role will be responsible for performing repairs, routine maintenance, and inspections on a wide variety of mining and quarry equipment and fixed plant equipment. The applicant must have a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair a wide range of service issues that affect major components such as engines, brake systems, transmissions, torque converters, hydraulic systems, drive train components, heating/cooling and electrical systems, as well as other systems generally encountered in the industry.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
  • Minimum of three years of experience working on heavy equipment.
  • Perform heavy or major maintenance repairs as needed.
  • Perform routine scheduled maintenance on heavy equipment and trucks.
  • Complete maintenance and work order repair records.
  • Inspect machines for abnormalities or defects.
  • Be able to weld and fabricate, as needed.
  • Heavy equipment parts familiarization including parts catalogs, procurement, handling, storage, and cost of heavy equipment parts.
  • Perform housekeeping duties and work area checks.
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment.
  • Operate a company vehicle on public highways and job sites.
  • Capable of working with limited supervision and scheduling own work.
  • Weekend work/overtime may be required.
  • Ability to stoop, push, kneel, twist, and lift 70lbs.
  • Ability to climb and perform work on heights of 20 feet.
  • Able to work in all kinds of weather conditions.
  • Able to develop working relationships with other employees and vendors.
