Pay - $19/hour

Description of Duties:

  • Greets patients and assists the patient to “sign-in” for the patient appointments. Note time of arrival, time of scheduled visit, and reason for visit.
  • Assists patient in completing registration form and other clinic forms as needed. Verifies and updates patient demographic information at the time of the visit and advises the patient regarding any requirements of the visit.
  • Reviews new patient registration forms, copies and verifies all insurance information. Assists patients as required.
  • Assist patient in determining eligibility for Sliding Fee Scale Discount Program. Advise patients of discount and payment options.
  • Initiates patient visits on eClinicalWorks and creates the patient superbill.
  • Monitors patient flow through the clinic—from the waiting room, to the clinical staff and completion of visit. Works with nursing staff regarding late arrivals, no-shows and cancellations in order to optimize provider time.
  • Functions as a Front Desk Specialist. Be proactive in addressing patient needs and trouble shooting patient concerns. Strive to make each consumer satisfied with the clinic services.
  • Assists clinical and administrative staff in evaluating patient services, such as patient satisfaction questionnaires and other evaluation tools.
  • Collects copayment for services.
  • Assists patients with transportation arrangements as needed.
  • Treats all patients in a culturally competent and sensitive manner and demonstrates care and compassion at all times towards all.
  • Provides interpretation services as needed or requested.
  • Other duties as assigned or are in the best interest in the care and safety of the patient.
