Role Overview
The QA / Test Manager provides strategic leadership for quality assurance governance, planning, execution, and defect management supporting a large-scale Electronic Health Record (EHR) SaaS implementation. This role is responsible for establishing the overall QA framework across clinical, administrative, and billing workflows, leading complex data conversion and ETL validation, coordinating vendor release testing, and ensuring strict compliance with healthcare regulatory, audit, and security standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary QA lead and point of contact for program leadership, IT engineering teams, third-party vendors, and clinical stakeholders.
• Drive defect management, triage, and resolution processes using enterprise test management tools (Azure DevOps, ALM, Jira), ensuring issues are retested and validated prior to deployment.
• Produce regular executive reporting on testing execution metrics, defect trends, quality risks, and release readiness.
Functional, Integration, & UAT Execution
• Lead functional, system, and regression testing across core EHR modules including clinical documentation, scheduling, order entry, medications, pharmacy, and billing.

• Ensure full test coverage for SaaS configuration changes, vendor releases, inbound/outbound system interfaces, and downstream reporting impacts.
• Partner with business and clinical SMEs to design User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios, guide UAT execution, and coordinate formal testing sign-off.

• Review and execute tests for ETL pipelines, data mapping specifications, field-level verification rules, record counts, and exception reports.
• Audit patient, clinical, pharmacy, and financial data structures during pre-load and post-load validation phases.
• Maintain complete test plans, test cases, requirements traceability matrices (RTMs), and evidence artifacts in alignment with compliance and audit standards.
Required Qualifications

• 11 or more years of experience coordinating complex testing activities with software vendors, IT delivery teams, and multidisciplinary business stakeholders.
• 11 or more years of hands-on proficiency with enterprise test management tools such as Azure DevOps, ALM, or Jira.
Preferred Qualifications
• 8 or more years of experience supporting large-scale EHR software implementations.
• 6 or more years of experience with healthcare data standards, including HL7, FHIR, CCD/A, ICD, and CPT.
