Flourish Mental Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to provide essential counseling services from a remote setting. In this full-time role, you will be primarily focused on supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, guiding them towards overcoming their emotional challenges and achieving greater mental well-being.

This position offers a flexible remote work environment, allowing you to connect with patients while maintaining a work-life balance. Your regular workweek will span Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. • Conduct initial assessments of trauma patients to fully understand their mental and emotional challenges while developing personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.
• Meet regularly with patients, providing a safe and empathetic space for them to discuss their experiences and emotions.
• Develop and implement effective coping strategies and therapeutic interventions, ensuring they are aligned with best practices in mental health care.
• Monitor the progress of each patient, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed based on their evolving requirements.
• Educate patients and staff on trauma-informed care practices and coping mechanisms to foster resilience among individuals facing similar challenges.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, social services, and community outreach programs to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care beyond mental health services.
• Engage in continuous professional development by completing required continuing education courses to sustain the National Certified Counselor certification and stay informed about the latest therapeutic practices.

Your primary focus will be on individuals coping with trauma and related mental health issues. You will empower these patients by providing therapeutic support, psychoeducation, and resources targeting their unique recovery journeys. Understanding the specific complexities of trauma will be fundamental in guiding your counseling approach.

• Possess a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.
• Hold a valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of experience working specifically with trauma-focused patients.
• Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Salesforce and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is highly desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective patient interactions and documentation.

While not mandatory, experience with diverse populations and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities will enhance your capability to meet the distinct needs of our patients. A background in community health initiatives or integrated care programs can also be advantageous.
