Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leads construction services to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of a high-quality project
  • Leads project meetings, including staff meetings, month-end reviews, design reviews, task force meetings, etc.
  • Oversee contract administration, including reviewing, negotiating, and managing trade partner and material supplier agreements
  • Identifies, evaluates, and mitigates project risks, and implements effective risk-management strategies
  • Establishes and drives project priorities, and ensures timely execution of project objectives
  • Addresses issues proactively and takes timely corrective action
  • Fosters a collaborative team environment
  • Ensure accurate documentation and practices to support false claims avoidance
  • Delivers proposal presentations to clients as needed
  • Partners with the Superintendent, Estimators, and other project team members during preconstruction
  • Leads pre-planning and ongoing planning efforts to ensure all project requirements are addressed prior to mobilization and throughout construction
  • Reviews, monitors, and manages the project budget, costs, change management, forecasts, and overall financial performance
  • Partner with Superintendent to establish key milestones and maintain the project schedule
  • Ensures full implementation of company safety, risk-management, environmental, and stormwater programs
  • Lead GH Phipps' Quality Assurance Program
  • Manage project closeout activities, including proper archiving of project information
  • Proactively manages disputes and claims, facilitating fair and timely resolution
  • Mentors and trains direct reports through regular communication
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners
  • Actively participates in RFP/RFQ processes
  • Leads preconstruction and operations teams in phasing considerations, infection control plans, interim life safety measures, and shutdown procedures common in healthcare construction.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field required
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 7 years of commercial Healthcare construction experience
Minimum 5 years of healthcare construction experience in occupied (and/or ground up) hospitals required
Demonstrated experience managing healthcare projects valued at $50M+ within the last 5 years
Demonstrated experience with ICRA, ILSM, and MOP
TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Proficient in construction project management software, PROCORE preferred
  • Proficient in document markup, Bluebeam preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Knowledge and use of Scheduling software, ASTA preferred

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURE
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred
  • CPR/First Aid Certified
  • ASHE

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • Verifiable work references
  • Successful completion of post-offer background & drug screens
  • All positions at GH Phipps are considered safety sensitive. Position may be required to visit a construction site at any time.
  • In person, regular attendance required

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $136,000 annually and is dependent in experience and title/rank of position offered.

Compensation
Our compensation package includes a competitive salary, participation in our employee stock ownership program (ESOP) on your first day of hire, and eligibility in our annual bonus program. Annual ESOP contributions and bonuses are dependent on company performance and are not guaranteed from year to year. Both ESOP and bonuses are calculated on one's eligible compensation for the year.
Holidays and Paid-Time Off
Employees get seven paid holidays (designated) and one paid floating holiday.
PTO may be used for vacation, sick time, or other personal matters and is based on years of employment and years of experience.
