Health Information Technology Specialist

We are excited to announce that currently we are looking for Health Information Technology Specialiststo support an IQVIA pharmaceutical client partnership

This individual will have the unique opportunity to be a part of multiple cardiovascular brands in the US market as a Health Information Technology Specialist. The primary focus of this role will be to support integration of the brand into EHR systems across priority accounts, helping identify and address barriers that affect patient care, access, treatment processes, patient identification, and overall end-user experience In addition, the Health IT Specialist will be responsible for sharing Electronic Health Record insights to enhance patient care and support population health approaches across both in-patient and outpatient sites of care at priority accounts.

Other responsibilities include developing and implementing comprehensive customer specific plans, as well as working in a collaborative manner with Account Management, Medical and Cross functional account teams

The Health IT Specialist will also support healthcare stakeholders including end users, clinicians, informatics, Quality, Population Health and IT teams.

Success in this position requires a self-starter that thrives in ambiguity and can be both a strategic partner and outcomes driven.

Core Duties/Responsibilities: Health IT Specialist

  • Identify potential gaps/barriers within EHR systems at priority IDN's & Health Systems
  • Problem solve and provide solutions and resolution of EHR gaps
  • Identify workflow barriers and recommend scalable solutions
  • Works collaboratively with customers including end users, licensed clinicians, IT informatics team, quality EHR Manager and analyst to provide meaningful insights to enhance patient care
  • Align resources to develop comprehensive plans by priority institution
  • Complete workflow assessments with institutional customers to identify potential gaps in care across the patient journey
  • Develop and implement comprehensive customer specific plans
  • Will act as matrix team Health IT Specialist subject matter expert to both internal and external stakeholders with matrix partners across account management, medical, and other cross functional partners. T
  • Share insights around optimizing EHR systems to address gaps in patient care including Inpatient, Outpatient, and Emergency Department

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university required;
  • Minimum of 4 years working in design, build, and/or testing expertise and experience with EHR software, including: Epic, Cerner, Meditech, McKesson preferred; and/or within a Health System informatics group or team at leadership level, or similar role within a pharmaceutical company.
  • In depth knowledge of healthcare and health information technology, and software build, and/or optimization techniques
  • Ability to discover issues, prioritize and problem solve to resolution
  • Team player with the willingness/ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude, flexibility
  • Ability to consistently travel overnight

  • Master's degree
  • Clinical IT experience, Pharmacy IT, or Nursing Informatics
  • Pharmaceutical or Life Science Health IT Specialist experience
  • B2B or software sales experience

The potential base pay range for this role is $125,000 - $135,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
