We are hiring a hospitalist and a nocturnist. A nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible internal medicine or family medicine.
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Scheduling:

  • Day Hospitalist schedule will be 7 shifts/month in a row - 7 am to 7 pm.
  • Nocturnist schedule is full-time, 7 p.m. - 7 a.m., 7 on / 7 off.
  • Our team enjoys a good retention rate and collaborates seamlessly to ensure adequate coverage for colleagues' time off.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Our responsibilities encompass rounds, admissions, discharges, and daily multidisciplinary rounds. Whenever possible, we engage in geographic rounding.
  • The hospital has a closed ICU with Sound Physicians and intensivists on hand 24/7, so procedures are not required.
  • Nocturnist handles admissions from the ED and cross coverage
  • We are entertaining candidates looking for part-time and PRN shifts.
  • We use Meditech and have access to our internal informatics platform. Switching to Epic in July 2026.
  • You will also be credentialed at Rockville General (20 minutes away), with the opportunity to work some of your shifts there for a change of working environment
