dbt / Data Engineer

Direct Client

Location: Des Plaines, IL — Hybrid, ~50% onsite

Engagement: Long-term contract

Experience: At least 10 years in Data Engineering, minimum 4 years with dbt

Visa status: Open, but no OPT/CPT

We are seeking an experienced dbt Engineer / Data Engineer to support the transitioning, development and modernization of a healthcare data and analytics platform.

·     Design, develop, test, and deploy production-grade dbt models, including dependencies, tests, and data transformations.

·     Develop and optimize data solutions transitioning data from SQL Server into Snowflake while managing  complex SQL queries and data pipelines.

·     Configure and troubleshoot ADF connectors and data-integration processes.

·     Build analytical datasets, dimensional models, and Power BI dashboards/reports for business users.

Technical Stack

Expert: dbt, hands-on experience with models, dependencies, packages and deployments

Strong: Snowflake, SQL Server, advanced SQL, databases, Power BI

Hands-on: ADF (Azure Data Factory), Python, Git

Data Modeling: Star schema, dimensional modeling, Data Vault

Preferred: CI/CD
