Hospice Chaplain

Are you seeking a Chaplain opportunity where you can make a real impact?  Interim HealthCare Hospice is hiring for a Part-time Hospice Chaplain.  In this role, you will be the face of courage and spiritual savior to support patients and their families looking for comfort and closure during this significant season of life.

As a Hospice Chaplain, here's a big-picture view of what you will do:

  • Conduct assessments of Hospice patients and their families' spiritual needs
  • Ensure the appropriate spiritual services are provided in a timely manner by either providing such services to the patient/family or coordinating the provision of services with community clergy or spiritual counselors.
  • Maintains records of spiritual services utilization and related activities as directed.
  • Participates in the development of the interdisciplinary group plan of care to meet identified spiritual needs.
  • Provides funeral or memorial services for patients as requested.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Graduate of accredited seminary, school of theology and/or religious sturdies program (BD, MDiv or equivalent theological degree.)
  • Experience working with death and dying, terminally ill individuals and their families or caregivers.
