Job Description
Searching for a postdoctoral candidate to work in the Clinical Data Science Program within the Kern Center at Mayo Clinic. PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or similar is required. Candidates must have a strong interest in clinical applications of data science and solutions into Clinical Workflow. Demonstration of excellent writing and communication skills via publications and presentations is also required.
A Research Associate in Health Service Research (HSR) works independently and leads projects. The primary focus is on health care policy and cutting edge research to design, develop, and test strategies that transform patient care and outcomes. Research may be interchangeable with Epidemiology, but only in the Department of Quantitative Health Sciences.
A Research Associate at Mayo Clinic is a temporary transitional role with the primary purpose to allow qualified individuals to work within an established investigator's program in preparation for an academic and/or independent research career. The ability to perform specialized or complex functions would typically be demonstrated through review of scientific accomplishments, contributions, and peer-reviewed publications averaging at least one per year post doctoral degree. The Research Associate is expected to provide leadership support and training within an established research program. Upon background check and CCATS Executive Committee approval, Research Associate may have patient/research subject contact directly relating to and incidental to the original research program.
Qualifications
Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program.
