JOB SUMMARYReporting to the Health & Wellness Director, the Health & Wellness Manager ensures the general well-being of residents by providing a system of services for residents in a manner and environment that provides dignity and full recognition of each resident’s individuality. Responsible for providing oversight of assigned clinical duties and operations. The Health and Wellness Manager will provide clinical expertise to assure the highest level of quality care for residents to achieve clinical excellence, as well as a holistic and resident-directed care focus. The Health and Wellness Manager respectfully interacts with all residents, family members, visitors, colleagues, and staff. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein if such functions are a logical assignment to the position.Support the Health and Wellness Director in all aspects of clinical services, resident and staff satisfactionAssist in creating and supporting a culture and environment that honors residents and their wishes and provides for continued opportunities for meaningful engagement and fulfillment for residents and staffProvide quality professional care to the residents to ensure their health, safety, and security in accordance with state and federal regulatory guidelinesCoordinate and monitor work assignments of Health and Wellness Services personnel in collaboration with the Health and Wellness DirectorCoordinate admissions and orient new residents to the facility, ensuring satisfactory integrationResponsible for infection control dutiesAssist the Health and Wellness Director with personnel in their job functions including leave and attendance, preparation and presentation of performance reviews, and standards in accordance with positionIn coordination with the Health and Wellness Director, ensure the Health and Wellness Department adheres to all current regulatory requirements governing all applied licensesMaintain complete confidentialityListens to resident and family concerns and facilitates solutionsCommunicate with physician, family, and health care providers regarding the changing condition of any residentKeep current on all changes in the industry, particularly regulator changesParticipate in ongoing in-service educationServe as a member of various management committees as assignedRegular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this jobESSENTIAL MENTAL AND PHYSICAL FUNCTIONSThe essential mental and physical functions listed below are required in order for an employee to be able to perform the essential functions of this position.Ability to read and write, follow written and verbal instructions, and communicate effectively in English.Thinking critically; defined as reading, understanding, and taking appropriate action on detailed and complex informationWalking moderate distances dailySitting for long periods of timeRepetitive actions/motion of one or both handsHearing ordinary conversation and office soundsVerbal communication in person and on the phoneWritten communication by hand and on PCFlorida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse Information Website is https://info.flclearinghouse.comMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSLicensed Practical Nurse with current Florida licenseTwo or more years of experience in senior living or health care required; household models and dementia experience preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWarm, outgoing, and compassionate personality with strong leadership and teamwork skillsComputer literacy which includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Office suite #J-18808-Ljbffr
