The Operations Organization is seeking a dynamic and talented Electrical Integration Engineer proficient in solving complex technical challenges and driving transformation. As part of the rapidly growing Space & Mission Systems Division, which has more than doubled in revenue in recent years, this role is pivotal in enabling continued success in delivering effective, high-quality electrical based systems to our customers.

In this position, you will drive the integration of electrical subsystems into satellite payloads, ensuring that all electrical systems meet the rigorous standards required for space applications. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic circuits, electromagnetic compatibility, and space environment considerations.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the electrical Integration of sensors and optics into space system payloads.
  • Designs cables and wire harnesses that interconnect electronic equipment within the vehicle.
  • Responsible for generating system cable interconnect diagrams, point-to-point cable wiring schematics, cable lengths, routing details, and cable BOM.
  • Responsible for integration tests to verify functional operation.
  • Responsible for generating test fixtures and test procedures for system level tests.
  • Applies basic technical knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve assigned routine engineering problems.
  • Familiarity with AS9100/ISO9001 industry standards.
  • Develops appropriate documentation of findings and implemented solutions and communicates results to project engineering staff.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Collaborates with program management, engineering, and operations in both new product introduction and production environments to meet production/program goals.
  • Resolves engineering issues with a hands-on approach, utilizing extensive technical knowledge to develop creative and effective solutions.
  • Utilizes data and analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) identify trends and make data-driven decisions to improve manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Science discipline with a minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or systems engineering. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to obtain a secret or top-secret clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience with Lean and 6 Sigma tools such as 5S, value stream mapping, Kaizen, process control, etc. Six Sigma Lean Green Belt or higher certification preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to effectively multi-task, support multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Experience with DFM and DFA.
  • Experience with Optical systems and technology.
  • Experience with NPI. Proven track record of solving complex engineering problems and implementing innovative solutions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Massachusetts is $102,000 - $189,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
