Clinical Research Coordinator – Digital Mental Health Research

Location: Hybrid - Cambridge, MA Job Type: Full-Time Compensation: $70,000–$100,000

About the Role

Deliberate is looking for a Clinical Research Coordinator to join our clinical research team. This is a hands‑on opportunity to work at the intersection of clinical research operations and technology — running the day‑to‑day administration that keeps our studies on track while gaining direct exposure to AI‑driven digital mental health assessment, biomarker research, and clinical trials designed for both scientific rigor and real‑world impact.

This role directly supports federally funded research projects developing and validating AI‑driven mental health biomarkers — work that sits at the leading edge of how mental health conditions are measured and assessed. You'll be the connective tissue across multiple studies and sites: the person who knows exactly where every participant stands and when every assessment and every report is due. You'll work alongside academic and industry leaders in mental health in a fast‑moving start‑up environment where your organization and follow‑through directly shape the quality of the data behind these tools.

What You’ll Do
  • Own day‑to‑day research administration across multiple concurrent studies and sites
  • Track recruitment and enrollment numbers across studies and sites, flagging gaps or delays early
  • Track when each participant is due for study assessments and proactively schedule those assessments with clinical interviewers/raters
  • Track milestones, reports, and updates owed to IRBs and funding agencies, and ensure materials are prepared and submitted on time
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for research participants throughout the life of a study
  • Build rapport with participants and support retention across multi‑year, longitudinal studies
  • Collect, organize, and enter research data into study databases and tracking systems
  • Assist in the design and development of participant tracking systems and databases
  • Provide administrative and coordination support, including scheduling and correspondence across the research team, participants, and sites
  • Assemble and distribute research tools and devices (e.g. biomarker collection kits, wearables, etc) to sites and participants.
  • Ensure compliance with all institutional, state, and federal regulations throughout each study
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree required; a background in psychology, public health, biology, or a related field is a plus
  • Experience coordinating clinical research studies, ideally across multiple sites is preferred - though we will also consider candidates with similar experience coordinating, scheduling appointments, and tracking progress from other non-research related fields (e.g., clinical care, sales team coordination, etc)
  • Comfort managing many concurrent deadlines and priorities without letting details slip
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and genuine warmth — you’ll be the steady, familiar voice participants hear across a multi‑year study
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Computer literacy, including Google Workspace; experience with research databases, electronic data capture (e.g., REDCap) systems a plus
  • Interest in working in a fast‑paced technology start‑up environment
What We Offer
  • Salary range of $70,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience
  • Direct exposure to and collaboration with licensed faculty and the clinical assessment team
  • Hands‑on experience with AI‑driven digital mental health assessment and biomarker research
  • The opportunity to work closely with academic and business leaders shaping the future of digital mental health
  • Flexible, hybrid work schedule with the opportunity to either work primarily from home or office depending on your preference
  • Benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance.

We encourage applications from a diverse range of backgrounds.
