This remote position focuses on delivering impactful mental health support through a telehealth platform, enabling counselors to engage with clients effectively from the comfort of their own homes. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and crisis interventions for clients experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges, tailoring interventions to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians and multidisciplinary team members to monitor patient progress, discussing challenges and successes in therapy sessions.
  • Maintain detailed and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and state regulations.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including discharge planning, that integrate psychosocial assessments and evidence-based practices in mental health care.
  • Network with community partners and resource groups, representing Shirley Mental Health Services in discussions centered on improving the social support systems for patients in need.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Shirley Mental Health Services, you will support a diverse population experiencing various mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related conditions, and substance abuse. Our clientele ranges from adolescents to adults, requiring tailored therapeutic approaches to address the unique challenges faced by each age demographic and personal history. Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
  • Possession of an independent license is mandatoryโ€”candidates must hold either a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • At least two years of professional experience in a clinical mental health setting is required, demonstrating a capacity for effective treatment delivery.
