The position offers a flexible work setting, allowing counselors to deliver services remotely while still maintaining a physical outpatient office presence for client meetings. Operating Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, this role prioritizes work-life balance, enabling our counselors to excel both professionally and personally.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Delivering therapeutic services to clients facing diverse challenges, including mood disorders, relationship issues, trauma, and stress management.
• Conducting thorough mental health assessments, including intake evaluations and diagnostic assessments, to develop and implement tailored treatment plans.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and solution-focused therapy to guide clients toward healing and growth.
• Building strong therapeutic relationships with clients, establishing trust, collaborative goals, and empowering individuals to achieve meaningful change.
• Providing critical support for clients in crisis situations, employing appropriate interventions to ensure their immediate safety and well-being.
• Maintaining rigorous clinical documentation that adheres to ethical guidelines and state regulations, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and potentially mentoring clinical interns or less experienced counselors.

Your practice will encompass a wide range of patient populations, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, grief, and relationship issues. You will directly impact the community by providing accessible and culturally sensitive therapy, respecting the diverse backgrounds and identities of all clients.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience providing therapy in an outpatient or similar setting.

While not required, preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Experience in trauma and grief counseling, couples therapy, or working with adolescents.
• Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of therapeutic techniques and assessment tools.
• A solid understanding of ethical principles and confidentiality laws in mental health practice.
