The person in this role understands the nuances of health policy debates and has experience creating, assessing or advocating for policy changes at the federal, state, or commercial levels.


As a member of the Policy Consulting Team, you will monitor, analyze, curate, and present on important federal and state issues that impact our client’s business imperatives, including reforms related to drug pricing, coverage, reimbursement and benefit design across public and private payers. The Policy Solutions team is steeped in Medicare and Medicare Advantage policy and payment, Medicaid and state health policy, as well as Exchange and employer plan policy issues. The team analyzes evolving commercial payer activities and utilization management concerns. Collectively, ADVI solutions team members work seamlessly with one another to answer our clients’ most pressing business needs and deliver solutions to excel their business.


Key Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative policy analyses (e.g., coverage, reimbursement, regulatory, and legislative research) to support client projects and internal insights.

• Manage assigned projects by developing workplans, tracking timelines, coordinating resources, and supporting budget management to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

• Support client engagements by preparing analyses, materials, and presentations, and participating in client meetings to discuss findings and implications.

• Translate analytical results into clear summaries and actionable insights, while coaching Associates and Senior Associates and contributing to overall quality standards.

Excel-Based Modeling & Analysis – Develop and maintain structured Excel models to support policy, reimbursement, and regulatory analyses; ensure accuracy, transparency, and clear documentation of assumptions.

Project Management – Organize and manage project tasks, timelines, and deliverables across multiple workstreams; effectively balance priorities and support on-time, on-budget execution.

Consultative Insight – Apply policy knowledge and analytical judgment to interpret findings, identify implications, and contribute thoughtful input to client discussions and recommendations.

Client Communication – Support client relationships by preparing clear, well-organized materials and participating in client meetings to explain analyses and respond to questions.

Quality Assurance – Review analyses and deliverables for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to firm standards; proactively identify issues and support continuous improvement.

Decision-Making Scope

The Policy Consultant operates with moderate to high independence. The Policy Consultant leads projects and makes day-to-day decisions regarding clients and project deliverables.

Utilization

This is a billable utilization role, with expectations aligned to client delivery and revenue contribution.



Experience and Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant professional experience with a preferred background in consulting.

• Experience modeling the effects of legislation and regulations affecting pharmaceutical manufacturers

• Recent and relevant experience in legislative, regulatory, and/or government policy environments, including hands-on work with healthcare policy analysis, monitoring, or stakeholder engagement.

• Excel-based quantitative modeling skills required

• Ability to create interactive Excel-based tools for client decision-making preferred

• Advanced degree(s) may substitute for work experience



Location

Candidates can be based anywhere in the U.S., with a preference for those operating in the Eastern or Central Standard Time Zone. Candidates based in Washington, DC or Austin, TX, will have the option of hybrid work arrangements.


Compensation and Benefits

Target Base Salary Range: $100,000-$125,000. Placement within the range is determined by experience, expertise, and internal equity.

Incentive Compensation: Eligible for an annual performance-based bonus aligned to individual and company performance.
