Certified Nursing Assistant/Van Driver

Bernice Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, LLC is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant/Van Driver. (Part-Time/Full-Time)

General Description

Under the direction of the Executive Director the Van Driver is responsible for safely transporting clients to planned activities and medical service providers.

Essential Duties
  • Provides a safe, clean environment for residents in accordance with Resident Care Policies and Procedures.
  • Drives company-owned vehicles in order to transport residents to appointments or activities.
  • Tests vehicle equipment such as lights, brakes, horns, and windshield wipers in order to verify proper, legal operation.
  • Notifies the Executive Director of any necessary repairs or mechanical problems in a timely manner.
  • Picks up residents at prearranged locations and transports to specific destinations.
  • Verifies that the Facility and its equipment are properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience.
  • Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis as well as a calm environment for the residents during transport.
  • Completes and maintains accurate accident and incident reports in a professional and timely manner.
