Job description

Balance Staffing is hiring for a "Remote Licensed Insurance Sales Agents for the 2026 Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)"
Position Type: Temporary / Seasonal Direct Hire
Assignment Duration: Approximately 1–3 months (Assignment ends December 8, 2026)
Location: 100% Remote (Work from Home)
Pay Rate: $21.50/hour
Schedule: Monday–Saturday, within business hours of 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM EST. Schedules will fall within these operating hours. Overtime may be available based on business needs.


Position Overview


Balance Staffing is seeking Licensed Health Insurance Sales Agents to support the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP). This is a fast-paced, customer-focused sales role handling inbound calls from individuals seeking new Medicare and health insurance coverage or assistance with their existing plans.

Successful candidates are excellent communicators who can build rapport, educate customers, identify coverage needs, and confidently recommend appropriate insurance products while delivering exceptional customer service.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Answer a high volume of inbound calls from prospective and existing customers.
  • Assist customers in selecting Medicare and health insurance plans that best fit their needs.
  • Explain policy options, benefits, and coverage details.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Process customer requests and assist with payment-related inquiries when needed.
  • Accurately document customer interactions and maintain detailed records.
  • Meet quality, compliance, and productivity standards.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell additional products or services when appropriate.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
  • Provide feedback regarding customer concerns and call trends.


Qualifications


  • Active Resident Health Insurance License in your current state of residence.
  • License must remain active and cannot expire or require renewal before December 8, 2026.
  • Previous AEP and insurance sales experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Strong sales, communication, and active listening skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to type at least 25 words per minute.
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience using Windows operating systems.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule (approximately 48 hours per week, 5–6 days per week).
  • Open availability during operating hours is required.
