Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' histories with substance abuse and related mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address clients' specific needs regarding addiction and underlying mental health issues.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Regularly review progress with clients and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective support and increased motivation for recovery.
  • Collaborate effectively with members of the treatment team to provide integrated, client-centered care, sharing insights and strategies to optimize client outcomes.
  • Educate clients' families about substance abuse and recovery processes, fostering their involvement and support in the treatment journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adults experiencing challenges related to substance abuse, many of whom may also face additional mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, or trauma. Qualifications
  • A valid professional license, such as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; a Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred.
