Mental Health Tech - Carrefour - PRN

Job Description

Provides intensive, goal directed services to support individuals who are in a mental health crisis which require crisis stabilization services.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation as per Health System/affiliate policy.
  • Provide crisis stabilization services to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.
  • Supports clients as it relates to daily living, medication compliance, goal management, crisis management, and client safety.
  • Utilize deescalating skills when appropriate.
  • Interact with clients in a positive and supporting manner.
  • Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.
  • Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.
General Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

High School diploma or GED equivalent

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Required License/Certifications/Registrations

  • Current BLS/CPR card from approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first.
  • Kansas Driver's License (if position requires driving)
  • Auto Insurance equal to or greater than the Kansas Insurance requirements (if position requires driving)
  • Successfully pass KBI, DCF, child abuse check, adult abuse registry, and routine motor-vehicle screens.
Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Two years or more professional experience in mental health services, crisis response, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with community mental health services.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
