SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Under supervision,provide behavioral health screening of detainees referred by facility staff oridentifiedby prescreening through booking process or nursing services.

  • Under supervision,provide individual and/or group psychoeducation and skills-based interventions.

  • Assistcustody and medical staff in the monitoring of behavioral health for referred detainees.

  • Coordinate with custody and medical staff in the management and treatment of detainees with behavioral health concerns.

  • Monitor and assess therapeutic support of segregated and isolated detainees.

  • Support and supplement the activities of county behavioral health services in the stabilization of at-risk detainees.

  • Coordinate with county behavioral health services for continuity of care and discharge planning/case managementvia sharing of pertinent patient information.

  • Complete documentation as well asmaintainrecords for referral tracking and continuous quality improvement (CQI) under supervision.

  • Demonstrate commitment and dedication to providing behavioral health support and provide training to solve problems and make lives easier.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
