Job description

Job Title: Quality Inspector

Location: Pheonix, AZ

Pay Rate: $25 to $30 per hour


Summary of the Role

This position ensures the quality of products through thorough assessment and analyses using specific procedural standards for integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures. Help create a safety culture and actively engage the workforce in projects that will help reach our journey to zero incidents.
  • Performs inspections of company products to determine conformance with specifications.
  • Utilizes standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges, and test rigs.
  • Processes associated documentation, including process tags, rework tags and nonconforming material documents.
  • Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Record inspection/test data results and to maintain them for retrieval.
  • Ensure the compliance to QMS for ISO 9001 & AS9100/AS9120 requirements
  • Review drawings and customer specifications against purchased product.


Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to interpret variety of engineering drawings, understand tolerancing limits;
  • recognize and apply GD&T is a plus
  • Team player - able to work closely with cross-functional groups
  • Good “hands-on” working approach
  • Able to work independently, identify problems and technical capacity
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skillset along with the ability to relate that back to team members
  • Requires ability to organize and prioritize workload and be able to interact effectively with all types of people in a dynamic and demanding environment
  • A demonstrated record of good attendance, attention to detail, and safety
  • Proficient using MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
  • Ability to interpret Material Test Reports, Inspection Data Results and Certificate of Conformances
  • Perform First Article Inspection Process to AS9102
  • Ability to use copiers, printers to scan documents and records.
  • Able to learn new inspection methods, techniques, and equipment programming
  • Experience using Calipers, Micrometers, Weight Scales, Optical CMM-Micro-Vu/Kalix, and Pi-Tape is desired


Qualifications

  • Minimum two-year college degree from accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Requires ability to organize and prioritize workload and be able to interact effectively with all types of people in a dynamic and demanding environment.
  • Able to read and Write English proficiently
  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
