Our site near Culpeper, VA, in beautiful, rural Orange County (1.5 hours from Washington, DC) is growing! This site is our center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development as well as high-complexity production programs.

We are seeking aReceivingInspectorto join our team at ourCulpeper, VAsite.

Essential Functions:

Under general supervision, anInspector Cutilizes a general application of quality assurance concepts, practices and techniques. Responsible for strict adherence to safety and housekeeping standards. This position requires employees to enter the manufacturing areas. The hours of work will equate to those of the manufacturing areas, and overtime will be expected as directed by the department manager.

  • 60% - Use calipers, micrometers and other measuring and/or specialized equipment to perform inspections on rocket motors and rocket motor components under the supervision of higher level inspectors in accordance with AS 9100/ISO 9001 elements.
  • 30% - Complete paperwork such as writing IR cards, Discrepancy reports, etc.
  • 10%- Enter shipping data, Discrepancy reports and Oracle entries in the computer on all programs.

Qualifications:

  • Requires aHigh School diploma with (3) three years experienceor an equivalent combination of education and experience. No security clearance is required on day one.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Trade or Vocational School courses in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and basic math.
  • Understanding of the related AS 9100/ISO 9001 elements.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Virgina is $21.63/hr - $40.38/hr.
