Position Summary

The Lead Clinic Informatics Specialist is a critical member of the Scribe Program. They champion the organization's mission to provide high quality patient care by leading their Clinic Scribe team. The Lead Clinic Scribe acts as an in-clinic expert on all Scribe related matters including: training, coordinating coverage and assistance with implementation of any new clinic initiatives. In addition, they will engage with the Senior Scribes to facilitate successful execution of Scribe activities in each clinic. This new addition to the Oak Street Health team will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day operations of these essential activities.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 4-5 Clinic Scribes

  • Ongoing training and support of Clinic Scribes

  • In-clinic point person for coding and workflow questions

  • Wellness Review Visit Review assistance

  • Coordinate Regional Scribe coverage

  • Observe and record patient encounters/examinations

  • Document patient information, history and diagnoses

  • Assist in medical management

  • Document medical decision making

  • Other duties, as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

  • Self-starter with high degree of drive, initiative, and follow through

  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Expert in accurate and specific documentation

  • Commitment to company vision

  • At least 6 months of experience as a Clinic Informatics Specialist (Scribe)

  • US work authorization

  • Someone who embodies being "Oaky"

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$18.50 - $38.82

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
