Location: Columbia, SC

Candidate Location: Candidate must be a CURRENT SC resident. No relocation allowed.
Project Scope:
SCDHHS is seeking a Business Analyst-Intermediate to support Managed Care oversight initiatives. The role involves gathering program requirements, developing monitoring and tracking templates, creating policies and procedures, performing data analysis and visualization, and generating recurring reports to support leadership decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
โ€ข Gather business and program requirements for reporting and monitoring activities
โ€ข Conduct data analysis using trend analysis, outlier identification, and validation techniques
โ€ข Analyze grievance, appeals, service authorization, disputes, and contract monitoring data
โ€ข Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to data governance and reporting
โ€ข Create reports and dashboards for Bureau and Agency leadership
โ€ข Perform data quality verification and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders
โ€ข Collaborate with internal teams including IT, Managed Care, and external stakeholders
โ€ข Support process improvement initiatives and strategic projects
โ€ข Prepare and present analytical reports and recommendations
โ€ข Participate in professional development and training activities
Required Skills & Experience:
โ€ข Strong knowledge of research design, data collection, manipulation, and analysis
โ€ข Experience with SAS, Excel, Python, and data analysis/reporting tools
