The Opportunity

What You'll Work On

A technical expert focused on the end-to-end delivery of the AlinIQ Digital Health applications and at the delivery center on Abbott's consumer healthcare strategy. Core responsibilities of this role include complex IT implementation, testing, training, and escalation management. Along with the technical aptitude, this role is client facing, and individuals need to also possess excellent communication, critical thinking, and other soft skills to ensure high client satisfaction. These individuals have also shown an ability to understand the specific nuances of our applications and may be ready to mentor, with guidance, newer or less skilled employees in a specific application.

  • Responsible for the end-to-end implementation, testing and training of the Abbott Digital applications with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Apply technical IT and networking knowledge to analyze user needs; gather customer requirements, design integrated, scalable and comprehensive informatics solutions to improve the automation and informatics solutions for clinical diagnostic healthcare customers.
  • Must be able to multi-task and coordinate with a complex network of departments throughout all levels of an organization such as sales representatives, lab managers, project managers, IT personnel, HIS and LIS personnel, internal and external vendors and contractors, and senior level management as needed.
  • Develops a proven mastery of the Abbott processes and ability to lead by example across the Area delivery organization.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system. Adheres to and promotes the Abbott Code of Business Conduct.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Medical or Hospital Informatics or related disciplines
  • Minimum 2 years in the healthcare industry.
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant information technology experience outside of healthcare.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree is preferred
  • Middleware application workflow, configuration and operational management experience
  • Pre-analytical transport solutions workflow, and inventory management solutions workflow, configuration and operational management
  • Sels experience is preferred
