Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Behavioral Health team. This role will be Full-Time, Day Shift, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm with 2 weekend days per month, 1 minor and 1 major holiday.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Job Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts while completing all administrative tasks and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.
  • Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols while performing re-evaluations, according to department guidelines, and adjusting the treatment plan as needed.
  • Selects evaluation and treatment methods appropriate to patients' diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Licensure: Occupational Therapist
  • Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of Occupation Therapist (OT) experience
  • Experience as an OT in the hospital setting
  • Experience in behavioral health
