Job Title: Home Health Aide /Personal Care Aid/ Companion Aid

Position Summary: As a Home Health Aide (HHA), you will be an essential member of our caregiving team, providing non-medical assistance and support to clients in their homes. Your role is crucial in promoting independence and well-being by offering personalized care services tailored to the unique needs of each client.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Personal Care:
    • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
    • Provide support for maintaining personal hygiene and overall well-being.
  2. Companionship:
    • Foster a positive and supportive environment through companionship and engaging activities.
    • Encourage social interaction and emotional well-being.
  3. Meal Preparation:
    • Prepare nutritious meals based on clients' dietary preferences and restrictions.
    • Assist with feeding as necessary.
  4. Medication Reminders:
    • Provide reminders for clients to take prescribed medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
    • Assist with medication management as needed.
  5. Light Housekeeping:
    • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces.
    • Maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
  1. Mobility Assistance:
    • Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and exercises as recommended by healthcare professionals.
    • Use mobility aids safely and effectively.
  2. Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the care team.
    • Report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate supervisor.
  3. Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
    • Complete daily logs and reports as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or completion of a recognized training program.
  • Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to client care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
