Job description

Employment Type: Full timeShift: Day Shift Description: The Director of Finance is responsible for the day-to-day financial management and oversight of Select Health Network. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and compliance in support of operational and strategic goals. This role partners closely with the executive leadership team to provide financial analysis, recommendations, and reports that support decision-making. The position oversees key finance functions including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, capitation, eligibility, and financial analysis. Select Health Network is a Physician Hospital Organization which began operations in 1994 and provides comprehensive physician network in Saint Joseph and Marshall counties, Indiana. In total, Select Health Network offers access to over 1,000 providers, including specialists, primary care physicians, and mid-level providers. www.selecthealthnetwork.com What you will do:
  • Actively demonstrate the organization's mission and core values and always conducts oneself in a manner consistent with these values.
  • Know and adhere to all laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety, and medical information.
  • Oversee the daily operations of Select Health Network's finance functions, including general accounting, accounts payable, budgeting, reporting, and eligibility-related financial activities.
  • Ensure accurate, complete, and timely financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards.
  • Maintain and improve financial systems, policies, procedures, and workflows to support operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate and direct the development of the annual operating budget and periodic forecasts in collaboration with finance and operational leaders.
  • Assist department leaders with utilization projections, expense management, and capital budget development.
  • Provide financial analysis, variance explanations, and trend reporting to support performance improvement and decision-making.
  • Assist in the development, design, and pricing of new products.
  • Coordinate and direct the target setting and risk share settlements of Select's Shared Risk programs.
  • Prepare and distribute financial reports for executive leadership, internal committees, and external stakeholders as required.
  • Support preparation of materials for leadership meetings by presenting financial results in a clear and actionable format.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to contracted health plans and other external partners.
  • Coordinate the annual external audit and periodic internal audits, including preparation of reconciliations and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate and direct the analysis of network fee schedules, including presentation to the Select Health Network Reimbursement Committee.
What's required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in healthcare finance, managed care, accounting, or auditing, including 3-5 years of leadership experience.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience required.
  • Managed care or health network finance experience preferred.
Other Job Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare financial operations and reporting requirements
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate findings to non-financial leaders
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and team development skills
  • Proficiency with financial systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
