TITLE: Health Assistant
RESPONSIBILITIES: The health assistant provides appropriate first-aid and care to students, communicates with staff members and parents concerning health issues of their students, prepares a list of special health conditions for staff, maintains records of students who are self-medicating in the health office; exception to this is the "carry-on person" medication, assists building secretary as needed and as determined by a building administrator, etc.
REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma, good physical health, clean background check, First-Aid certification, CPR certification, vision and hearing certification as available form the IDPH, ability to read basic instructions and write reports and ability to follow written and oral directions.
SALARY: Placement on the Classified Salary Schedule.
