The Advanced Analytics Consultant employs advanced analytics to gain critical insights into member behavior drivers and preferences, product/program concepts and value propositions, operational effectiveness and efficiencies, client specific healthgapsand needs. Consults business leaders and internal partners to apply the insights to test and drive product innovation and enhancement, to target the right members for the right service, to measure programoutcomesand demonstrate value, to help win and retain clients, and to support information based strategic decision making.

How you will make an impact:

  • Collecting and analyzing data related tobehavioralhealthand substance abuse to understand trends, improve care, and informbusiness decisions.

  • Providesanalytical insights to support business solution development based on quality, use,costand other key drivers.

  • Develops and refines analysis templates for problem diagnosis and opportunities assessment.

  • Consults on all considerations related to designing and executing tests or pilot programs.

  • Contributes to the design of new program/initiative based on test/pilot outcomes.

  • Develops targeting criteria or customer segmentation based on analytical insights, clinical inputs, productdesignand operations considerations.

  • Developsalgorithmsthat help target the right members.

  • Developsmethodologyto measure clinical,utilizationand financial outcomes of a program/initiative; conducts in-depth research to address challenging issues in measuring outcomes.

  • Leads projects; authors white papers, presents at industry conferences andsubmitsjournal publications.

  • Addresseslimitationof certain data sources and evaluatesincrementalvalue of new data sources.

MinimumRequirements:

  • Requires MS, MA, or PhD with concentration in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Epidemiology, Engineering, Computer Science or Operations Research and a minimum of 5years experiencein related health care analytics; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • The ability to present meaningful results to a business audience and toparticipatecollaboratively in a team tasked to produce complex analyses.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with developinganalyticsfor segmentation/stratification that supports customized strategies for different customer segments in a major industry highly desirable - healthcare, financial, database/direct marketing, online retails, consulting, etc.

  • Substantialexperience analyzing data related to behavioral health factors/social determinants of health strongly preferred, particularly in the areas of mental health, behavioral health, and substance use disorders.

  • Advanced SAS orSQL skills.Additionalskills for success are Python, Tableau, Snowflake and Power BI.AI/ML experience will be helpful.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $111,520 to $184,008.
