We are seeking Assistant Teachers who are passionate about working with young children. to design, build, and maintain operations systems, processes, and tools for the whole school across 3 buildings. Assistant Teachers provide a warm, caring environments where children learn and grow while supporting Head teachers.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and implementing activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of students
  • Assist in developing culturally appropriate programs and activities
  • Establish routines and procedures for daily learning/play experiences
  • Supervision of students in the classroom
  • Establish routines with head teacher and provide positive guidance for behavioral outcomes
  • Clearly and effectively communicate in a manner that children understand
  • Communicate to parents on an as needed basis about child's behavior, positive and negative, with approval of Head Teacher
  • Collaborate regularly with Head Teacher to develop weekly plans and activities
  • Perform assigned tasks as designated by head teacher/director

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma required
  • Associates degree in education/related field or CDA preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in child care setting
  • Ability to relate positively to young children, parents and staff
  • Willing to work flexible hours in order to meet the needs of the program.
  • Able to lift 40 lbs and walk, squat/kneel, sit on floor, see, hear, speak with children to ensure children's health and safety
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours
  • Must be technological literate. Assistant Teachers will be required to use, manage, understand, and assess technology.
