Job description

We are seeking a strategic yet hands-on Head of People to architect and scale our global people operations across the United States and Europe. You'll be the driving force behind building a high-performing, inclusive, and compliant organization that empowers our teams to thrive as we enter our next phase of growth.
This is a player-coach role - blending strategic vision with operational execution. You'll lead a talented HR professional in Europe collaborate closely with our executive team, and build scalable systems that define how we attract, develop, and retains world-class talent.
Strategic Leadership & Structure
- Build, lead, and scale the HR function across the U.S. and Europe, aligning HR strategy with company goals.
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team to develop an organizational structure that supports growth and scalability.
- Coach and manage the HR team in Eurpoe, providing mentorship, alignment, and professional development.
- Drive company-wide culture initiatives to foster engagement, inclusivity, and alignment with our mission.
Talent Acquisition & Employer Brand
- Lead full-cycle recruitment across all functions, with a focus on scaling the U.S. and European teams.
- Build a strong internal hiring process and enhance our employer brand globally.
Performance & Development
- Design and implement performance evaluation frameworks, compensation strategies, and career progression paths.
- Build and roll out training programs tailored to team needs and state-specific or regional HR regulations.
- Support leadership with coaching, goal setting, and learning and development initiatives.
Compliance & Operations
- Ensure compliance with all U.S. federal and state labor laws as well as European HR regulations.
- Oversee payroll management and benefits administration in both regions.
- Manage vendor relationships for HR, benefits, payroll, and recruiting services.
- Use HR data and metrics to track engagement, retention, and performance trends.
Culture & Engagement
- Lead programs to strengthen employee engagement and foster a positive, high-performance culture.
- Conduct regular pulse surveys and act on feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure consistency in employee experience across both countries.
Who You Are
- 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including exposure to both U.S. and international (preferably European) operations
- Proven success scaling organizations through periods of rapid growth - ideally in tech, SaaS, or hardware/software environments.
- Deep understanding of U.S. labor laws and familiarity with European employment frameworks.
- Skilled in recruitment, performance management, compensation strategy, and organizational design.
- Exceptional communicator with strong leadership presence and stakeholder influence.
- Both strategic and hands-on - you enjoy designing systems and seeing them work in practice.
- Empathetic, data-driven, and passionate about building high-performance, people-first cultures.
- Experienced in managing and developing an HR team.
