TG Gallagher is seeking a strategic, forward-thinking individual to serve as our Head of Data Architecture & AI. This role will lead our enterprise data, analytics, and AI initiatives by shaping how the organization collects, structures, and activates data to drive executive decision-making, operational efficiency, and long-term growth. This innovative leader will oversee the full data lifecycle—spanning ERP/CRM ecosystems, cloud data platforms, analytics, and AI—while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Enterprise Data Architecture

  • Own enterprise data architecture and long-term data roadmap.
  • Assess current technologies and define a source system strategy across ERP, PMS, CRM, HRIS, file storage, estimating, scheduling, and field operations platforms, aligning current and future technologies with the data architecture strategy.
  • Drive and enhance business processes leading cross functional teams with department heads to enhance analytical visibility into the business.
  • Design and govern enterprise semantic layer, business definitions, and master data standards.
  • Establish enterprise-wide data governance, metadata management, lineage, and data quality frameworks.
  • Serve as the strategic data lead overseeing alignment with external IT partners.


Data Engineering & Infrastructure

  • Architect and manage cloud-native data platforms e.g. Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Databricks, or equivalent technologies.
  • Design scalable ELT/ETL frameworks using APIs, CDC, event-driven architectures, and orchestration tools.
  • Oversee data warehouse performance, optimization, security, and cost management.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise data models supporting operational, financial, project, and executive analytics.


Systems Integration & APIs

  • Lead enterprise system integration strategy across ERP, CRM, project management, estimating, scheduling, HR, payroll, and document management systems.
  • Design and oversee API architecture, integration patterns, webhooks, middleware, and data exchange standards.
  • Evaluate and implement integration technologies and automation platforms.


AI & Data Product Leadership

  • Define company-wide AI strategy and roadmap. Current state readiness vs target state readiness.
  • Identify and prioritize AI use cases with measurable business outcomes.
  • Lead implementation of AI copilots, retrieval systems, knowledge management platforms, and generative AI applications.
  • Establish governance standards for AI security, privacy, model monitoring, and responsible AI adoption, row level security.


Executive Leadership

  • Act as strategic partner to CEO, President, COO, CFO, and executive leadership team.
  • Develop multi-year enterprise data and AI investment roadmap.
  • Drive cultural adoption and training workshops to enhance end user proficiency.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams across data engineering, analytics, BI, and AI disciplines.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Data Platform Expertise

  • 5+ years leading enterprise analytics, data engineering, data architecture initiatives.
  • Experience designing and administering cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, MySQL Server.
  • Expertise in dimensional modeling, data vault, medallion architecture, and enterprise semantic layer design.


Cloud & Infrastructure

  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure preferred.
