Job description

About RouteGenie
RouteGenie is a modern, all-in-one software platform designed for medical transportation providers, brokers, and health systems. We help businesses streamline and automate routing, scheduling, dispatching, billing, and fleet management - empowering them to reduce costs, improve on-time performance, and deliver better service to their customers and communities.
Profitable, private-capital backed, and growing rapidly year over year, RouteGenie supports more than 600 customers across 46 states. As demand accelerates and our roadmap deepens, we are investing in dedicated product leadership to drive the next phase of growth
Your Role With Us
We're hiring a Head of Product to build and lead RouteGenie's product function from the ground up. Reporting directly to the CEO, this leader will own product strategy, roadmap prioritization, and the go-to-market discipline behind every launch - partnering closely with Engineering to turn customer and market signals into a roadmap the whole business can rally around.
This is a role for someone who wants real ownership at a growth-stage company: the chance to develop your own frameworks, bring your rigor, and deliver on a high-potential roadmap. You will build a product function that reflects your perspective on best practices and delivers for current and future RouteGenie customers.
What You'll Own
Product Strategy & Roadmap
  • Own the product roadmap and prioritization framework, balancing customer voice, market and industry trends, engineering capacity, and overall business value
  • Build a repeatable process for gathering and synthesizing customer feedback - from voice-of-customer interviews to AI-assisted analysis of sales and support conversations
  • Bring a point of view on where RouteGenie should place its bets, including emerging opportunities

Product Management & Team Leadership
  • Build and lead a lean, high-functioning product team
  • Bring process and project management discipline as the first dedicated product leader at RouteGenie
  • Own end-to-end product launches - from discovery through steady-state launch - including product marketing, pricing, and operations/training coordination, with a single-threaded owner mindset

Engineering Partnership
  • Partner closely with engineering leadership as the primary counterpart on roadmap sequencing, technical tradeoffs, and architectural decisions
  • Bring enough technical fluency to engage credibly on system design and emerging technology fit
  • Create healthy tension between product and engineering priorities in service of shipping the right things

Partnerships & Strategic Integrations
  • Own the setup, structure, and go-to-market of strategic partnerships and integrations (e.g., health plan, broker, and benefits partnerships), including scoping the commercial and technical shape of each relationship
  • Bring rigor to the partnership process - defining what partnership actually means for each relationship, negotiating structure, and building it into a repeatable playbook

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Customer Success to ensure the roadmap reflects post-sale insight, retention drivers, and expansion opportunity
  • Work with the CEO on long-range product strategy, including evaluation of new market and product opportunities
  • Collaborate with Sales/Revenue leadership to ensure market and customer intelligence informs the roadmap

What We're Looking For
  • Experience owning a product function - strategy, roadmap, and execution - in a B2B SaaS environment, ideally at a growth-stage company
  • A track record of building product process and discipline where it didn't previously exist, not just operating within an established one
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize ruthlessly across a complex list of competing initiatives (compliance/security requirements, technical modernization, custom enterprise commitments, and new feature launches)
  • Comfort partnering closely with Engineering, including enough technical depth to engage on architecture and emerging technology decisions
  • Experience owning products through full launch cycles - alpha through steady-state - including the go-to-market and enablement work around a launch, not just the build

Strongly Preferred Experience
  • Transportation or logistics domain experience (rideshare, transit, fleet, or logistics platforms) is a strong plus
  • Healthcare-adjacent experience - eligibility, billing, care coordination, discharge planning - is valuable, particularly when paired with a modern SaaS environment
  • Field services or emergency/infrastructure coordination background is also relevant
  • Experience owning or structuring partnership/integration relationships, including the commercial and contractual considerations involved

Who You Are
  • A builder who wants to stand up a function, not maintain an existing one
  • High accountability: you identify problems, work the solution, and drive it to done with minimal oversight
  • Intellectually curious, customer-obsessed, and comfortable asking "why" until you get to the real problem
  • Comfortable moving between strategic roadmap conversations and tactical execution - prioritizing a ticket backlog is as much part of the job as shaping a multi-year vision
  • Collaborative and decisive, energized by ambiguity and early-stage build work

Why You'll Love Working Here
  • Impactful Mission: Help expand access to healthcare transportation by powering the technology behind it
  • Real Ownership: You're building a product function from the ground up, and the results will be yours
  • Strong Foundation: A profitable, capital-backed business with 600+ customers and strong YoY growth
  • Collaborative Leadership: Work directly with a first-class leadership team that moves fast and trusts each other to deliver
  • Room to Grow: As the business and roadmap scale, so does this role

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary + bonus and equity, commensurate with experience
  • Medical insurance with employer contribution
  • 100% employer-paid dental and vision plans
  • Paid time off, holidays, and flexible core business hours
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Professional development, training, and conference opportunities

Ready to Make an Impact?
If you're energized by building a product function from the ground up at a profitable, mission-driven company with a deep and growing roadmap, we'd love to hear from you.
