Job description

About Nooks.ai:

Nooks is an applied AI lab building the Agent Workspace for GTM. We design AI agents that operate across the full sales action set, from account strategy to prospect research and outreach. Building 0โ†’1 has never been easier, but selling at the speed of the market remains the last frontier for AI. Our mission is to 10x every seller by automating the busywork so they can focus on what humans do best: closing deals.

Today, over 1,500 customers run on Nooks, including Notion, HubSpot, Cursor, and Rippling. Weโ€™ve raised $70M+ from top VCs like Kleiner Perkins, which made its first sales-tech investment in over a decade with us. Since then, weโ€™ve tripled ARR each year for 3 years running and grown a high-caliber team turning the art of sales into a scalable science.

About the Role:

We're looking for our first Head of Communications & Content to build the storytelling engine behind the Nooks brand. This is a rare "build it from scratch" opportunity: you'll be Nooks' first communications and content hire, setting the strategy and operating model with the autonomy of a leader and the craft of a top-tier individual contributor. You'll also build and lead an ecosystem of agency partners, freelancers, and AI tools to scale your impact, laying the foundation for a Communications & Content function that will grow over time.

You'll partner closely with Marketing, Product, Sales, Customer Success, and our executive team to establish Nooks as the leading voice in AI for revenue teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Build our editorial strategy

    • Own Nooks' editorial strategy and integrated content calendar across every channel

    • Develop flagship content and oversee its execution through a mix of in-house creation, agency partners, and freelance contributors

    • Ensure every piece of content reinforces our market narrative and supports business priorities

    • Build repeatable editorial processes and quality standards that scale

  • Lead original research and thought leadership

    • Develop recurring research programs and benchmark reports that establish Nooks as an authority in AI for sales

    • Partner with research vendors, agencies, and internal stakeholders to produce high-quality, data-driven thought leadership

    • Turn proprietary customer insights into compelling stories the market wants to read and share

  • Lead communications and PR

    • Own Nooks' external communications strategy

    • Manage PR agencies and external communications partners

    • Drive proactive communications around launches, research, customer stories, milestones, and company news

  • Evolve our social presence

    • Refine Nooks' social media strategy to strengthen our thought leadership and enterprise credibility

    • Develop executive and corporate social programs that amplify our point of view while staying authentic to each voice

    • Build on the strong engagement that already exists within the SDR community, helping connect that grassroots enthusiasm with a broader enterprise audience

  • Build the foundation

    • Establish the operating model for Communications & Content, including agencies, contractors, editorial workflows, measurement, and AI-enabled content production

    • Identify where external partners can accelerate execution while maintaining a high bar for quality

    • Build the systems, processes, and team blueprint that will support a growing Communications & Content organization over time

  • Experience managing public relations and external communications programs

  • Strong editorial instincts: you know what stories earn attention and which ones don't

  • A strategic thinker who can connect company strategy to compelling market stories

  • Equally comfortable developing strategy and rolling up your sleeves to execute

  • Strong cross-functional collaborator with the ability to influence across teams and executive stakeholders

  • Experience marketing to enterprise buyers, ideally sales, RevOps, or go-to-market leaders
