The Vice President of Enterprise Risk Event and Issue Management will design and implement a company‑wide program to capture, coordinate, and report risk events and incidents. The role focuses on program design, governance, and organizational change rather than tactical incident response. Deliverables
  • Enterprise risk event and issue management framework and governance model
  • Defined roles and responsibilities for the event lifecycle
  • Executive‑level roadmaps, business cases, and maturity assessments
  • Severity and prioritization framework (e.g., P1/P2/P3 or S1/S2/S3)
  • Communication and escalation protocols
  • Structured coordination with risk event and issue owners
  • ServiceNow implementation strategy for risk events and issues, in partnership with Technology Services
  • Consistent risk event capture and classification within the firm’s ServiceNow environment
  • Audit‑ready documentation aligned to regulatory control expectations
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement an enterprise event management framework that aligns with operational and regulatory expectations.
  • Build and maintain governance structures, including steering committees and decision‑making protocols.
  • Own and maintain structured frameworks covering event identification, root cause analysis, impact assessment, severity prioritization, escalation paths, and communication requirements.
  • Lead structured root cause analysis to identify underlying drivers across systems, processes, data, and vendors.
  • Provide oversight and coordination during major events to ensure consistent response and accountability.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams (Security, IT, Business Continuity, Risk, etc.) to harmonize processes.
  • Establish consistent reporting and dashboards to track trends and themes.
  • Develop runbooks, playbooks, and evolve processes as the ServiceNow platform matures.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years in operational risk management, enterprise risk management, or business process design in complex organizations; financial services experience preferred.
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise‑wide frameworks and operating models.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate risk and issues to senior leadership in a clear, actionable manner; strong stakeholder influence skills.
  • Experience in regulated environments; familiarity with ITSM, IRM/GRC platforms (particularly ServiceNow) preferred.
  • ITIL familiarity preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with investment operations, trading workflows, and front‑to‑back office processes a plus.
  • Proven ability to coordinate with business and technology stakeholders during time‑sensitive events.
  • Backgrounds in operational risk, management consulting, or business operations encouraged.
Personal Attributes
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence decision‑making and drive accountability across teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Self‑initiated and capable of working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to think creatively, solve problems, and navigate ambiguous or complex issues.
  • Detail‑oriented, natural problem‑solver with the resolve to research and offer solutions.
  • Works well under pressure and with time constraints.
  • Possesses strong integrity and professionalism.
Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Compensation

Base salary range: $160,000 – $200,000. Eligible for discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, and flexible work arrangements.
