Head of Human Resources

Eagle Wireless

Minneapolis, MN

Full-time

Posted 26 days ago

Job description

Eagle Wireless is a connectivity company delivering secure, reliable, and scalable cellular modules and solutions for automotive and IoT applications. With a strong presence in the United States and global R&D teams across North America, Europe, and APAC, Eagle Wireless supports customers worldwide with long-life, compliant, and cyber-secure connectivity products. Focused on trust, supply chain resilience, and regulatory compliance, Eagle Wireless helps OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and IoT innovators deploy connected technologies with confidence in an increasingly complex global environment.

We are looking for: Head of Human Resources

Location: Cleveland, OH or Minneapolis, MN

Eagle Wireless is seeking a Head of Human Resources to lead our global HR function from either Cleveland or Minneapolis. This is a senior leadership role for someone who can balance strategy and execution. The Head of Human Resources will lead and strengthen our global HR function while operating with the mindset of a builder and hands-on partner. The role combines leading a globally distributed HR team of 6 across our offices with personally driving the work needed to build a mature and scalable HR organization. This is an ideal opportunity for a leader who thrives in a startup environment where everyone is expected to pitch in.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the HR function for Eagle Wireless across global offices and teams
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of 6 HR professionals in a distributed environment
  • Build and implement best practices for a global HR organization, including policies, processes, and operating rhythms
  • Partner closely with executive leadership and people managers on organizational design, workforce planning, talent strategy, and employee relations
  • Develop and scale core HR programs across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, engagement, development, and retention
  • Ensure HR practices and policies are aligned with local requirements and global standards across jurisdictions
  • Strengthen manager capability through practical guidance, coaching, and scalable tools
  • Oversee and improve HR systems, reporting, and metrics to support decision-making and organizational health
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and bias toward action
  • Roll up your sleeves when needed, whether that means resolving a people issue, drafting policy, improving a process, or supporting a critical business initiative

Required Qualifications:

  • Significant progressive HR leadership experience, including experience leading HR in high-growth or startup environments
  • Experience managing distributed teams, ideally across multiple countries or regions
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, organizational development, compliance, and talent operations
  • Demonstrated success building or maturing HR processes and infrastructure for a growing global organization
  • Comfort operating at both strategic and tactical levels
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Excellent communication skills and a track record of partnering effectively with executives and managers across functions
  • A practical, hands-on mindset with a no-job-too-small attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting international or multi-region operations
  • Background in building HR best practices in an organization moving from early-stage to more scaled operations
  • Familiarity with HR systems, people analytics, and process improvement
  • Experience in technology, telecom, wireless, hardware, or other fast-paced growth sectors

Leadership Competencies:

  • Builder's mindset
  • Strong people leadership
  • Operational discipline
  • Global perspective
  • No-job-too-small attitude

This is not a purely top-down leadership role. We are looking for someone who can set direction, lead a team, and also personally contribute to the work. At Eagle Wireless, everyone is expected to pitch in, and this role is no exception.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted!
