What does a head of growth do?

A Head of Growth is responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive business growth, typically through a combination of marketing, product, and data analysis. They work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, optimize customer acquisition and retention, and scale successful initiatives. The role often involves experimentation, setting key performance indicators (KPIs), and making data-driven decisions to improve company performance. Their main goal is to accelerate the company's growth in revenue, users, or other critical metrics.

How does the head of growth typically collaborate with marketing, product, and sales teams to drive company objectives?

This collaboration often involves setting shared KPIs, brainstorming growth experiments, and rapidly iterating based on performance metrics. Effective communication and a holistic understanding of the business are key to driving sustainable growth.

Exceptional communication, creativity, and cross-functional leadership are soft skills that help drive alignment and innovation. These skills and qualities are crucial for successfully scaling growth initiatives, optimizing performance, and achieving business objectives.
