Job description

As part of Risk Management and Compliance, you are at the center of keeping JPMorgan Chase strong and resilient. You help the firm grow responsibly by identifying emerging risks and applying expert judgment to complex business challenges that impact customers, communities, and shareholders.

As an Executive Director in Auto Acquisitions Risk, you will lead teams responsible for Originations Loss Estimation and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Credit Risk Oversight across Chase Auto. You will be accountable for origination loss estimates across all channels to support pricing decisions.You will drive the modernization of loss estimation methodologies, including the implementation of machine learning-based approaches to improve risk differentiation and forecasting accuracy. You will also lead a team responsible for credit risk criteria for Chase Auto's Direct to Consumer businesses, including prequalification, preapproval, and auto refinance programs reaching approximately 25 million customers and prospects annually. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across Risk, Auto Credit Decision Unit (CDU), Finance, Product, Modeling, and Technology teams to deliver responsible growth while maintaining robust risk management and controls.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the Originations Loss Estimation and Direct-to-Consumer teams within Auto Acquisitions Risk.
  • Oversee loss estimation methodologies used to support pricing and profitability decisions across all Chase Auto channels.
  • Drive redevelopment of loss estimation capabilities leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning models.
  • Enhance credit risk criteria for Direct-to-Consumer channels, including prequalification, preapproval, and refinance programs.
  • Establish strong governance, monitoring, documentation, and control frameworks for loss estimation and Direct-to-Consumer processes.
  • Work with Product, Marketing, Finance, Modeling, and Technology teams to optimize growth and risk-adjusted returns.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and implement credit criteria enhancements to improve outcomes and business results.
  • Develop a high-performing team through talent management, coaching, and leadership development.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10+ years of credit risk management experience.
  • Strong understanding of consumer lending P&Ls and key drivers of loss and profitability.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of Credit Risk Models including Machine Learning and Logistic regression models
  • Proven track record in product collaboration, risk analytics, and stakeholder management.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience engaging senior leaders and external partners.
  • Experience with audit processes and maintaining strong documentation and controls.
